Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/04/05 Location:Food Service Area Condition:The portable butane cooking burners were used within 6 inches of each other. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the manufacturer's recommendations posted on the butane cooking burners that state, " Keep stove clearance to combustible materials of top 36" and all sides 6".
