Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 03/25/2006 an employee who was working from a truck-elevated platform was exposed to a tip over hazard of approximately 25 feet from the ground level, due to the outriggers not being extended. Among other methods of abatement, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is deploy the outriggers prior to raising the truck elevated platform. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
