Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards related to ladders and stairways: On or about May 14, 2024, at a residential construction site located at 811 R Street in Geneva, Nebraska employees were exposed to fall hazards when using ladders. The employer failed to meet the requirements of this subpart specifically in that the employer failed to ensure ladder safety training was provided for employees. Employees installed seamless gutters and gutter guards on a single-story, ranch residential home with multi-position, aluminum ladders.
