OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a. Alfred Nickles Bakery, Inc., located at 1000 Broadway Street in Martins Ferry, Ohio: On or about December 5, 2022, the employer did not prevent an employee from being exposed to a struck-by and caught-in hazards during installation of Shaffer Manufacturing Mixer, Model HS20HFS, Serial number 211148. Among other methods, a feasible and useful method to correct this hazard is as follows: Implement a work rule that requires employer to use qualified and experienced riggers to move, place, and install large mixers and other similar large equipment.
