Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to atmospheric and drowning hazards: (a) Feed mixing area; On or about April 5, 2022, an employee was exposed to atmospheric and drowning hazards upon opening the top access of a 3500 gallon polyethylene tank containing whey permeate (liquid) to rinse sediment from the inside walls of the tank and entering to retrieve the quick connect pressure washer wand without quantifying and eliminating hazards.
