OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, the employees were not provided with equipment that was free of hazards likely to cause serious injury including, but not limited to lacerations or amputation: On or about February 14, 2022, an employee was exposed to a laceration hazard by handling and moving a floral stem/bunch cutter that employer had accepted from the manufacturer and permitted to be used without a safety latch or other mechanism to lock the cutting blade in place when the tool was being carried from one place to another.
