29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. a) On or about December 11, 2020, in the production shop, the employer failed to ensure an energy control procedure was developed and documented for the control of hazardous energy when an employee was engaged in a service and/or maintenance task, such as cleaning out the Kettle portion of the W.C. Smith Enrober Machine , Model #16, Serial # M0006739, thereby exposing employees to amputation hazards.
