29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards. Location: shop area On or about 10/20/20 employees were exposed to a crushing hazard when using a LeBlond lathe, model NQ-10AQ-63-5, to turn workpieces weighing up to 17,000 pounds with a tail center only rated to support 7,700 pounds total workpiece weight.
