Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees from struck-by and kickback hazards: (a) Jobsite, 120 Hutchman Road, Mars, PA: On or about July 7, 2020 an employee was exposed to struck by hazards while using a Stihl T420 cut off machine to cut an unsupported 9 inch OD PVC pipe directly on the ground and without measures to prevent kickback. The pipe being cut was not supported and secured to prevent the piece from binding in on the blade.
