29 CFR 1926.502(d): The employer used body belts as part of a personal fall arrest system: Note: The use of a body belt in a positioning device system is acceptable and is regulated under paragraph (e) of this section. Location: Jobsite On or about November 5, 2019, an employee was exposed to injuries associated with falling while wearing a body belt as component of a personal fall arrest system such as slipping out of the body belt while unconscious, internal injuries from sudden stop forces on the torso and/or asphyxiation from prolonged suspension.
