29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) Industrial Hanger & Conveyor Co., on or about October 15th, 2019, at the location of 886 County Rd 232, Fremont, OH 43420: The employer did not ensure that employees were protected from machine related hazards through the development, use of, and training in energy control procedures. Employees were exposed to caught in and struck by hazards while performing maintenance tasks such as changing the sand paper on the rotary sander and removing the adhesive with a scraper while the machine was still running.
