Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: (a) This violation occurred on or about September 11, 2019 when the employer did not train employees to recognize hazards related to ladders prior to requiring them to remove old heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) ducting using a 12-foot Werner A-Frame ladder and were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 5 feet to the concrete floor below.
