29 CFR 1910.138(a): Appropriate hand protection was not used when employee's hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about September 9, 2019, at the jobsite located at 1406 North State Road 7 Margate, FL 33063, the employer did not provide hand protection for employees required to move and store blocks of Carbon Dioxide Solid (dry ice), with a temperature of minus 85 degrees Centigrade (equals minus 109.3 degrees F), exposing them to thermal burns.
