29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Masaba, Inc. at 1617 317th Street, Vermillion, SD 57069: On or about and at times prior to April 18, 2019 the employer did not ensure employees were protected from caught-in and/or struck-by hazard while performing work activities inside the master carriage track and on the cutting table with the Messer Model TITAN, Serial Number TITAN14/4p-08-5172, plasma cutting machine in that the safety cable system installed on the plasma table does not prevent employee exposure to these hazards.
