29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not provided when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Employees were exposed to skin burn hazards. Employees were not provided protective equipment such as chaps, or leathers for their legs when conducting welding operations. On or about November 9, 2018, an employee received third degree burns when conducting arc gouging when the employee was not provided any leg protection to prevent burns from welding sparks, hot slag, and hot carbon welding rods or sticks.
