29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): The employer did not ensure procedures were utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: (a) Dakota Turkey Growers, LLC at 40251 US Highway 14, Huron, SD 57350: On and prior to December 21, 2017, the employer did not ensure maintenance employees were protected from in-going nip point hazards in that the electrical energy source was not isolated by lockout prior to maintenance activities being performed on the breast skinner in the boning/deboning room. This condition exposed employees to in-going nip point hazards.
