29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer must provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. On or about April 22, 2017, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while working from an adjustable dockboard while attempting to fill a 1,000 gallon ammonia nurse tank. The adjustable dockboard was not equipped with a locking mechanism for use when necessary. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
