Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) On October 12, 1990, at the Naples Community Hospital, the counter weights of the Fitch Roller Mule were not marked as to their weights in accordance to Ansi A10.8 section 6.2.5; thereby exposing employees to possible scaffold failure. One feasible method of abatement is to weigh all of the counterweights and stencil weight on them.
