Abstract: At approximately 10:30 a.m. on August 28, 2008, an employee and a coworker were using sledge hammers to break-up wooden pallets and placing the debris into a trash bin The employee and coworker were pouring gasoline on top of wooden pallets to act as mosquito repellant. The employee was believed to still be spreading the gasoline around the pallets, when the coworker walked away and lit up a cigarette with a lighter. The gasoline fumes ignited and burned the employee. The employee was hospitalized and treated for burns.
