Abstract: A crew of employees was excavating a trench for utilities for a new swimming pool. They came upon an "ashy-like" area and attributed their symptoms to exposure to that area. The site was a former Air Force Base. Employee #1 and a coworker developed a skin rash and Employee #1 had been hospitalized since Friday May 8, 2009. Employee #1, who was hospitalized, was determined to have been bitten by a spider. The original narrative gave no information on the other employee.
