Abstract: At 11:00 a.m. on May 27, 2024, three independent contractors were assisting a property owner by lifting a mobile home to prevent future flooding. Using six 12-ton hydraulic jacks, the contractors began raising the mobile home, which measured approximately 16 feet by 76 feet and was manufactured by Oawo in 1998 (serial number HOTX09906617). During the lifting operation, the mobile home collapsed, and the full weight fell onto one of the contractors, resulting in fatal injuries.
