Abstract: On July 25, 2023, an employee was chopping tobacco, when he collapsed at approximately 3:00 p.m. The employee was life-flighted to the hospital where he died early on the morning of July 28. The employee was over on a work visa and was on his second day of work. The employee worked for one hour after a two-hour lunch break, when he passed out. Due to the nature of the location, the owner instructed coworkers to transport the employee via an air-conditioned van to the local hospital. The owner notified the ER staff to be waiting.
