Abstract: At 12:00 a.m. on February 1, 2023, the employee was assisting his mother-in-law, sole owner, to catch chickens for live haul transport. After leaving the chicken house, the employee was struck by a forklift while loading cages onto a flatbed trailer. The employee was pronounced dead at the scene. The employee was not an employee of the employer and was not paid.
