Abstract: At 1:30 p.m. on June 29, 2022, an employee worked for the Army Corps of Engineers was pressure washing a sidewalk. The sidewalk was located inside a tunnel. At approximately 1:54 p.m., the employee entered the tunnel to pressure wash the sidewalk. At approximately 6:00 p.m. on June 30, 2022, the employee was found dead midway through the tunnel. At this time, it is not known if he had an underlying health condition or if he was overexposed to carbon monoxide. The toxicology results and autopsy are pending.
