Abstract: At 1:00 p.m. on July 22, 2021, an employee was planting aquatic plants around a pond and was told by a supervisor to move to the other side of pond. Despite being told not to swim across the pond but to walk around, the employee decided to swim across. Halfway across the pond the employee became distressed and called for help. The supervisor tried to help the employee but he went under the water and was unable to be located. The supervisor called for emergency services and public safety divers were called in to search for the employee. The employee was located and transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
