Abstract: At 5:30 pm, on March 1, 2021, Employer #1 was hanging curtain wall units inside a high-rise building. Employee #1 was standing on the perimeter attaching cables to the curtain wall unit and stepped back into an unguarded floor opening. Employee #1 lost his balance, fell on the floor and was lacerated by the sharp edge of the structural steel and suffered a laceration to his inner right thigh and was hospitalized.
