Abstract: At approximately 11:15 a.m. on May 12, 2021, Employee #1, a weigh master, was attempting to unjam the Power Strapping Machine (PSM) Mag 4 by cutting a metal strap with tin snips to release pressure. During this process, the machine head fell a few inches, pinning the employee's left hand and pulling down on the left arm and face. The employee sustained a crushed left hand, a laceration to the lip, and a strain to the left arm and shoulder. Emergency services transported the employee to Christ Hospital via ambulance for admission and treatment.
