Abstract: At 6:00 p.m. on February 13, 2021, an employee working as a maintenance technician for a tomato processing facility was removing adhesive from the unguarded part of a machine. A coworker turned on the machine causing the employee to catch his left ring finger in the nip point of a chain. The employee received medical treatment without hospitalization for an amputated fingertip.
