Abstract: At 8:45 a.m. on October 13, 2020, an employee was attempting to find a way to lift up and position a dock level so the truck could back-up to the loading dock and lower the dock level onto the bed of the truck. The employee was doing this because the dock level would not operate as designed to lift up and lower onto the bed without manually lifting it. The operator of the vehicle backed into the employee as he was positioned between the truck bed and dock bumper, pinning him between the truck bed and bumper. The employee was hospitalized to treat the following injuries: crushed pelvis, bladder injury, urethra tube cut, L3/L4/S1 fractured, left leg dysfunction, and five screws in the lower back.
