Abstract: At 11:00 p.m. on December 2, 2020, an employee working as a machine operator for a sawmill was operating a hot press machine in the panel assembly department. The employee went into the hot press to realign boards on the panel unloader racks without locking out the press. He caught his right hand in the machine when the press closed. The employee amputated his hand at the wrist and was hospitalized.
