Abstract: At 12:47 p.m. on December 18, 2019, an employee was working for a temporary staffing employment agency. He had been assigned to work in a warehouse. He operated industrial trucks. In this incident, he was operating stand up forklift. EE had just set a pallet down, and he had picked damaged product, in this case, candles, out of the product. He intended to show his lead the damaged box of candles. He was heading to where the lead was working. He was carrying the box of candles in his hands. The box started slipping out of his hands. As he tried pulling the box back, his hand hit the steering handle of the lift. The lift veered toward the left, in the direction of another forklift. The employee stuck his foot out of the running lines of the forklift. The two forklifts never collided, but the employee suffered injuries to his left foot. He suffered a bruised left foot and fractures to his big and little toes. He was treated without hospitalization.
