Abstract: At 1:00 p.m. on May 16, 2020, Employee #1 was loading bobbins on a Herzog RU 2/28-80 Braider. Employee #1 wiped some oil from the machine after having re-started it, but before having replaced the guard he removed from the machine. The rag he was using was caught in the moving parts of the machine, drawing his hand towards the danger zone of the machine. Employee #1 suffered a non-bone loss amputation of the tip of the left ring finger. Employee #1 was treated without hospitalization.
