Abstract: At 10:30 a.m. on February 20, 2020, an employee, working for a framing and carpentry company, was assembling prefabricated walls for use by the construction industry. The employee was operating a compound miter saw that was secured to a table. The employee was in the process of making small blocks of wood from a 4"x6" board. The employee did not have a power saw large enough for the board being cut and the left hand was cut by the miter saw blade. The employee was hospitalized and treated for amputation of the left-hand index and middle fingers.
