Abstract: At 11:20 a.m. on February 20, 2020, an employee working as a laborer for a pallet manufacturer was removing runners from a notcher machine. The employee was working in the danger zone when his right hand was struck by the rotating notcher head. The employee amputated his index and ring fingers to the first knuckle, plus reduced his middle finger and lost the outer edge of his pinky finger. The employee was hospitalized.
