Abstract: At 7:45 a.m. on November 4, 2019, an employee working as a plasterer for a drywall installation contractor was engaged in lathing and plastering operations. The employee was working at a multi-employer job site performing the construction of a commercial building. The employer had installed a scaffold system around the perimeter of the building through a scaffold contractor. The employee was working on the 3rd level of the scaffold system finishing up some lathing when he stepped from the scaffolding onto a window frame. The window frame gave way and the employee fell over 15 feet between the structure and the scaffolding to the ground below. There were no witnesses to the incident. The general contractor determined the space between the scaffolding and structure was approximately 14 inches. The employee fractured his right femur and was transported to the hospital, where he was hospitalized between 3 to 4 days.
