Abstract: At 6:30 a.m. on November 21, 2019, an employee working as an assembler for a metal fabrication products manufacturer was using a table saw. The employee was cutting a 1/8th inch strip off of a piece of aluminum stock. While cutting the aluminum, the employee was creating a long metal chip. The employee struck the chip with his hand causing a severe cut to a finger. The employee required medical treatment without hospitalization. The finger had to be surgically amputated.
