Abstract: At 10:30 a.m. on May 25, 2019, an employee was cleaning the rust off of the control station for the stabilizers of a catering lift truck. The employee cleaned the rust off of the control station for the stabilizers and the stabilizers came down to the ground. The employee was testing the van body by lifting it from the driver's cabin control station when a food cart got stuck between the van body and the platform. The food cart began raising the platform, instead of it being raised by the van body. The employee grabbed a bar, went underneath the platform, and pushed the cart out causing the platform to go into a free fall. The platform crashed onto the employee's body and pinned him to the top of the driver's cabin. The employee was hospitalized to treat a fractured collarbone and a ruptured artery.
