Abstract: At 6:50 a.m. on October 10, 2019, an employee was cutting pants on an Eastman Machine Textile cutting machine. The employee had her left middle finger in the path of the cutting blade when the cutter came forward. It is unknown if the employee manually moved the cutter forward or if after making the cut, the employee pushed the cutter back and it hit the backstop and rebounded forward. The tip of the employee's left middle finger was amputated and was treated without hospitalization.
