Abstract: At 6:30 a.m. on May 15, 2018, an employee was operating the Air Coiling Machine Equipment, identified as Station #292. The employee was guiding some tubing as it coiled in a rotating mandrill and was holding the tubing with her fingers tightly to form a tight coil. The employee had her right hand in front of her left hand and felt a strong tug before having her right hand pulled into the rotating mandrill. The employee amputated the tip of one of her fingers when it was caught in a nip point. The employee was transported to Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital where she was admitted for treatment.
