Abstract: At 12:17 p.m. on March 8, 2018, an employee was working with three coworkers inspecting the core support for a reactor during a refueling outage. The employee walked by the refueling bridge and took a step backwards to turn around, and his heel was caught on one of the lead blankets that were laying on the bridge. The employee reached for the table cable rail behind him but continued to fall into the refueling pool. The employee was working with three coworkers inspecting the core support for a reactor during a refueling outage. The employee went through a decontamination process by his coworkers and was examined by his primary doctor for radiation exposure. Radiation dosage was under the allowable limit. Hospitalization was not required.
