Abstract: At 4:30 p.m. on June 23, 2017, Employee #1 was changing out his stove's butane canister when the new canister burst open and ignited. Employee #1 and Employee #2 was working by the stove were caught in the flames and burnt their face, hands, and forearms. Employee #3 came to their aid and also burnt his hands and forearms. The fire department were transported to the Santa Catalina Island Hospital were treated for their injuries and transferred to UC Irvine on the mainland.
