Abstract: At 3:30 p.m. on September 9, 2017, an employee was assigned to clean up a pump room that had been flooded with 12 inches of raw sewage from a valve being left open. The employee responded to the room with two coworkers wearing, knee high rubber boots, glasses and nitrile gloves. Six days later, on September 15, 2017, the employee fell ill and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection called Shigella.
