Alliance Overview and Goals
OSHA and WeCount! agreed to form an Alliance to provide WeCount! members and the public with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help protect vulnerable workers, including low-wage workers, by reducing and preventing their exposure to occupational hazards in the agricultural and construction industries and increasing their understanding of the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the OSH Act.

Conducted outreach to its membership and others including the distribution of safety and health material, as well as presentations on a local radio station. Topics addressed include the following: hazard prevention; heat illness prevention; OSHA’s initiatives and campaigns. Safety and Health Management System, Small Business, Heat Illness Prevention, Fall Prevention, OSHA Standards. 2,500 workers Outreach Events and Training for non-OSHA Staff: Alliance Program participants or OSHA participation in events, which include speeches/presentations, exhibits, roundtables, conferences, informational webinars or other meetings or training in support of the Alliance or an OSHA initiative.
