    3. Alliance Overview and Goals

      OSHA and Underground Contractors Association of South Florida dba NUCA of South Florida (NUCASF) agreed to provide NUCASF members and others guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect workers by reducing and preventing exposure to trenching, confined spaces, silica, heat stress, work zone hazards and excavation hazards. Through the Alliance, the group will also provide members and others with an understanding of the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

    During this period, Alliance meetings were conducted in person, virtually, and/or by telephone. The Alliance coordinators from each group maintained regular contact throughout the reporting period to monitor the Alliance's progress and results.
